Frances celebrates 50 years at Crinan.
Nick and Frances Ryan were married in 1970 on 21st February and they arrived a few days later to start work at the Crinan Hotel on the 27th February. 50 years later, sadly without Nick who died in 2018, Frances continues to own and manage the Crinan Hotel  To celebrate this special year every 50th booking at the Crinan Hotel during 2019 will be invited to enjoy a complimentary glass of bubbly during their stay at the hotel.

Art and Music Weekends at Crinan
Martin Treacher, renowned pianist, accordionist and piper, is a versatile musical entertainer who join’s artist Frances Macdonald to host a series of Art and Music Weekends at Crinan during 2019. During the Art and Music Weekends, Martin will provide a classical piano recital, a Noel Coward Cabaret and selections of well-known and rare Scottish songs. Frances, an established contemporary Scottish artist with a significant following, will give a painting demonstration, discuss her approach to her work and offer tips to budding or aspiring artists. These ‘Art & Music’ weekends are being held in June and September. They are sure to be popular so book early to avoid disappointment

Chef Ben Tish returns to the Crinan Hotel in March.
Ben Tish – Chef, restaurateur, author and culinary director at the Stafford London will be returning to Crinan in the Spring of 2019. Ben first cooked at the Crinan Hotel while he was a student at Boston College in Lincolnshire and was still in his teens.  He went on to head up his own operation at the Italian restaurant Al Duca in St James, London, and then he returned to Crinan for three years. Under Ben’s culinary leadership, The Crinan Hotel Restaurant was hailed as one of Scotland’s Top seafood restaurants by foodies and journalists and won The Independent’s ‘Best Gastro Pub Award’ and The Good Food Guide’s Best Newcomer Award.

New Menu for Crinan’s Westward Restaurant
Over the winter the chefs at Crinan Hotel have created a new menu for the Westward Restaurant including starters including Cullen Skink, Rothesay Smoked Salmon, Gigha Oysters as well as mains of ‘Sound of Jura’ Lobster, Split Grilled Loch Crinan Prawns and The Famous Loch Crinan Seafood Platter. As well as The Westward restauant you can also dine in the Crinan Seafood Bar or in the Crinan pub. And, for a memorable special dinner, why not book “Lock 16” on the top floor of the hotel with spectacular views over the Sound of Jura and beyond.
