House of Bruar celebrates special ‘Glorious Twelfth’ Weekend on 11/12th August

House of Bruar Scotland
For the first time, The House of Bruar based in heart of the Highland in Perthshire is hosting a weekend dedicated exclusively to celebrating the opening of the grouse shooting season. The weekend of the Glorious Twelfth is an important date in the House of Bruar calendar and this year the store is adding even more to the customer experience at the ‘Home of Country Clothing’.

At House of Bruar you can find everything sportsmen and sportwomen could possibly need to kit themselves out for a day on the hill: Waterproof tweeds, Plus 2s & 4s, gun sleeves, cartridge bags, grouse markers and technical clothing from all of Britain’s leading brands.

Over the 11th & 12th of August Holts Auctioneers will be offering free gun valuations. Holts are Europe’s leading Auctioneers of Fine Modern & Antique Guns and offer free valuation services across the country to support the industry and help owners understand more about their collections.  Two leading experts from Holts will study, value and inform customers about the guns in their possession. Alongside these valuations, gun historian Donald Dallas will be at House of Bruar all weekend, with a revealing breakfast discussion on Sunday morning about his experience as a leading historian in the field, followed by a book signing. The team from Balindore Gunboxes will also be onsite with their bespoke gun boxes, ready to take commissions for their one-of-a-kind units.

On Saturday 11th The House of Bruar Gallery will be hosting an evening of Country Art with a number of the gallery’s leading artists in attendance. Also on Saturday the 11th the Rod and Reel Restaurant will stay open until 9pm and the clothing, gift and food halls will be open for late night shopping until 8pm. The House of Bruar’s famous luxury sporting hampers will be available to order and pick up on the day.
