Welcome to our newest member: Dun Aluinn

Rising above Aberfeldy with views that race down the Tay Valley to Schiehallion, one of Scotland’s most famous mountains, Dun Aluinn is a five-star, exclusive-use country house that brings a new flavour of luxury stay to Highland Perthshire.

The main house, built in 1909, accommodates up to eighteen guests across nine individually styled en-suite bedrooms, each with its own unique character: think freestanding baths and, in one room, a square Japanese soaking tub. Original period features are retained throughout the house thanks to a meticulous renovation, and whether you choose private dining or relaxed self-catering, feasting around the remarkable 5.5-metre bronze-and-oak dining table is a memorable highlight.

The in-house chef, private butler and discreet daily housekeeping service allow the house to function smoothly without ever feeling managed or formal.

Set in 5.5 acres of private grounds, Dun Aluinn works as both a soulful retreat and a home base for adventurous activities — hill walks, paddling on Loch Tay, salmon fishing, trail riding and whisky distilleries all make fantastic day trips.

For larger gatherings, there is a lodge offering four suites, a striking open-plan living and dining space and panoramic views over wildflower meadows and the Tay Valley — it is a truly magical setting. The outdoor hot tub and fire pits provide soothing warmth and atmosphere through every season.

Big enough to bring people together and private enough to make it your own, Dun Aluinn is a marvellous place to slow down, dig in, and watch the world unfold.
