Roll up, roll up for the Greatest Show in this year’s Edinburgh’s Hogmanay

The Circus comes to town for a special celebration during Edinburgh’s Hogmanay atthe city’s Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa thanks to a unique partnership with the Edinburgh International Magic Festival. The Capital’s festivities will finish with a bang on Hogmanay when the hotel hosts an immersive event combining musical performances, magical entertainment and awe-inspiring acrobatics.

On arrival guests will enter ‘backstage rehearsals’, mingling with the acts while enjoying champagne and canapes. Led by ringmaster Peter Gamble, the celebration continues in the Edinburgh Suite where guests will enjoy a five-course-meal with world class circus performances between courses. The event will also feature music from five-piece jazz band Viper Swing. Just before midnight guests at this special event with go out into Festival Square for a champagne toast and a chance to enjoy the spectacular view of the Hogmanay fireworks over Edinburgh Castle.

The Edinburgh International Magic Festival is an annual art festival, attracting over 12,000 people at 80 different events across the city featuring innovative, cutting-edge magic performances.

Two Scottish luxury hotels, Cromlix and Inverlochy Castle Hotel, have secured the top two spots in this year’s Condé Nast Traveler Reader’s Choice Awards. Perthshire based Cromlix was awarded the number one position with the number two position going to five star Inverlochy Castle Hotel near Fort William. Both properties are members of Luxury Scotland and are managed by ICMI Hotels.

Almost half a million Condé Nast Traveler readers submitted a record-breaking number of responses rating their travel experiences and favourite destinations.

At a London Awards ceremony, Ten César awards was presented to a selection of UK hotels that have demonstrated excellence in their field.
