Another day, another award for Danny Young at The Torridon
In just two short years, chef Danny Young has more than made his mark at The Torridon. Following on from winning National Chef of the Year 2025 to leading 1887 Restaurant to a Michelin Star and Michelin Green Star in 2026, Danny has now placed second on The Herald’s ‘The 50 most exciting chefs working in Scotland in 2026’.
Equally passionate about Scottish produce and more sustainable cooking, Danny and The Torridon are a match made in heaven.
Luxury Scotland cracks The Telegraph Top 250 – eight times!

Three hoteliers at the top of their game
The Boutique Hotelier Magazine’s Power List doesn’t just signal quality – it celebrates innovation and brilliant disruption. This year the list celebrates three of our own: James Thomson, owner of Prestonfield and The Witchery, who made the ‘Hall of Fame’ list, as well as two leaders included in the Industry Titans list: Jill Chalmers, Managing Director of Glenapp Castle and Graeme Green, Managing Director of Crossbasket Castle.
Yet another 'golden age' at Trocadero’s
