The Torridon is going for green 

Huge congratulations to The Torridon for making yet another shortlist, this time for the Country and Townhouse Polestar cars Sustainable Hotel of the Year Awards 2026. We wish them all the best!  


A new look for Crossbasket Castle  

Crossbasket Castle is heralding a new of luxury this autumn. The hotel has announced grand plans to unveil both its Four Angles Spa and twelve luxury cabins dotted around the illustrious grounds — all designed to complement Crossbasket’s natural setting and core promise of pure escapism. Diaries at the ready!

Glenapp Castle hatches new accommodation plans 

In July this year, Glenapp Castle will officially launch The Nest, also referred to as the Garden Cottage Suite. This beautiful, self-contained accommodation will be set within the 1830s Walled Garden and support both longer stays and wellness-led travel. Room for pups, too.  


Recognition for Glenapp Castle’s Jill Chalmers  

Jill Chalmers, the managing director of Glenapp Castle and one of the most respected figures in luxury hospitality, has been recognised with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Scottish Excellence Awards. No one is more deserving of the honour — congratulations Jill!  


New ways to stay at Murrayshall Estate  

Murrayshall Estate has officially launched their highly anticipated 2-bedroom pods. These pods offer groups and families the chance to enjoy more private, independence stays while still making use of the estate’s expansive 365-acre grounds. Some are pet-friendly, many have hot tubs, and all are exquisitely stylish.
