Where adrenalin meets luxury head on

Full-throttled luxury
For athletes who are looking to combine an endurance course with complete comfort, the 2020 Great Adventure Race at Gleneagles Hotel in May could be the perfect choice.

Now in its second year, this exhilarating challenge, which takes in 55km of spectacular Perthshire countryside, brings together both sporting glory and glamour in equal measure.

What it's all about
The Classic and Relay Race includes a 4km canoe trail, a 16km run over a Munro and a 35km cycle through the local country roads, while the Elite level comprises an 8km canoe trail, a 25km run, a 1800m ascent over two mountain peaks and a 70km cycle route chosen by ultra-endurance cyclist Mark Beaumont.

All competitors will cross the finish line on the iconic hotel’s main driveway and will be met by the celebratory sound of bagpipes, magnums of Champagne, and sumptuous ’race recovery canapes’.

After the race, festivities continue long into the evening, with a Champagne reception and a glamorous dinner and prize giving, before competitors retire to their luxurious Gleneagles bedrooms.

What you get
Included in the package is food and drink, luxury accommodation for two nights and all race equipment including transition changing bags, canoes, paddles, buoyancy aids and bikes.
