Luxury Scotland & The Guinness Book of Records

Who would have thought that Luxury Scotland’s very own Monopoly Set would end up setting a new World Record!

We were recently contacted by Neil Scallon who holds the Guinness Book of Records for owning the most Monopoly sets. When he found out we had created a new set, he made sure to quickly include it in his collection which happened to be his 2000th edition. It took Neil 12 years to reach this number and Luxury Scotland’s set was the one to make him achieve it.

A few weeks ago Neil went to the Monopoly Museum in Charleroi Belgium (which is open until end of this year) to display our set and celebrate the occasion among fellow Monopoly lovers. Next month he flies to Australia to receive his official certificate for his 2000th edition of different monopoly sets. The certificate will be given to him on top of the Sydney Harbour Bridge! The reason for that is that after purchasing a few more sets, his 2017th set in 2017 will be Sydney Opera House.  Our set has excellent company to be with.

The count last year which was 1677 editions was filmed for the One Show and Gyles Brandreth was dressed up for the occasion. Neil sent 1999 pictures of front and backs of the monopoly sets and videos being counted and letters from The Mayor of Crawley and Mayor of Royal Tunbridge Wells.

Our set is a collectors dream not just because of great picture on front and content but being a rare corporate edition which collectors love to find and buy.

Neil has so many sets that they are kept securely in a warehouse.
