Luxury Scotland Newsletter – August 2018

It’s ‘Goodbye’ from me and
‘Hello’ from Dorothy

The big news from Luxury Scotland this month is the arrival of our new CEO – Dorothy Welsh. After 25 wonderful years at the helm of Luxury Scotland, it is time to put my feet up and enjoy the start of my retirement.

I am delighted to be handing over the reins to Dorothy who is a seasoned marketing director with many year’s experience in the UK’s luxury hotel sector including 17 years in the role of Sales & Marketing Director at Gleneagles, one of the founding partners of Connoisseurs Scotland.

Over the last 25 years I have had the most exciting job, building the original small group of Scottish luxury Hotels into a major luxury platform with over 30 luxury properties and destinations. Dorothy’s aim is to take Luxury Scotland to the next level, extending our coverage and securing our position as a major player in Scotland’s luxury accommodation market.

Thank you to our email subscribers and our partners for their enthusiasm and support over the years.

Wishing you all the very best

Jeremy Hawkings, Chief Executive,
Luxury Scotland.

Our latest ‘Explore & Discover’ article

Scotland is without doubt the ‘Home of Golf’. During the 2018 Open held at Carnoustie just over a week ago, millions of viewers around the globe were thrilled as Molinari achieved his greatest victory to date.

Carnoustie is one of Scotland’s classic links courses. We are privileged to have many wonderful championship courses throughout Scotland and a host of great local and club courses where the scenery, the course design and the warm hospitality make a game of golf a very enjoyable experience.

This month we take a Journey across Scotland featuring many of our top courses including some local gems and the Luxury Scotland hotels located nearby.

If you are thinking of a golf vacation in Scotland this one’s for you!
