The beginning of 2017 is an exciting time for us all at Luxury Scotland.
Many of our members are undertaking refurbishment programmes, Glencoe House is about to open six new suites in the Bell Tower and Cromlix are working on significant expansion plans.
Belmond Royal Scotsman have just added an on-board spa to the train and and Lochgreen House Hotel are adding spa treatment rooms with an anticipated opening in Spring 2017. Boath House is creating a new garden café and the Old Course in St Andrews will be looking very smart when it reopens after a three-month refurbishment.
Last but not least, Trump Turnberry has of course reopened after a magnificent refurbishment and their new spa will debut on 6th February. So, all in all, quite a lot of activity has been taking place over the winter months.

We are delighted to announce that we have formed a partnership with Dunnet Bay Distillers who produce Rock Rose Gin and Holy Grass Vodka. They are a small distillery in Dunnet, Caithness and in celebration of Burns Night, have created a limited edition gin “The Lassies Toast”. The gin is inspired by the Moorland tea that Robert Burns is reputed to have enjoyed and is made to a unique recipe designed in-house. It features bilberry leaves, strawberry leaves, heather tops, speedwell and wild thyme, ingredients found in the Moorland tea recipe. Full details can be found on their web site.
A host of new offers and promotions are being listed on our News & Offers section including complimentary nights, luxury cruises, exclusive chef events and an innovative golf initiative in Ayrshire.
Whatever you do in January, especially on Burn’s Night, please enjoy!

Clyde Island Explorer – Wednesday 1st to Monday 6th March 2017.
Experience the excitement and thrill of the first cruise of the season as Hebridean Princess takes us to some of the finest houses on the Clyde as well as Britain’s smallest cathedral and a mountainside botanic garden. Sailing from Greenock we head to the Isle of Bute where Mount Stuart stands testament to generations of Stuart passion and flamboyance.

The delightful island of Great Cumbrae is home to Britain’s smallest cathedral, The Cathedral of the Isles, with its vivid tiles and stained glass. The tiny Holy Isle allows us to take a stroll ashore, ahead of a tour of the Isle of Arran. Affectionately known as ‘Scotland in miniature’, this vibrant island is considered to possess the great qualities of Scotland.
Our final afternoon is spent cruising the Upper Clyde and learning of how this mighty river was once so significant for industry and trade.
