The Torridon

Glencoe House
The ideal base for any Highlands adventure you can think of, guests at Glencoe House are spoiled with opportunities for good fun in every direction. There are endless walking, climbing and mountain biking trails, and the picturesque scenery provides an idyllic backdrop for a family walk. You might not know it, but there are beaches in the region as well, and wildlife tours by Land Rover or boat that leave right from their front door, making it easy to coordinate for little ones. There are plenty of cultural sites to visit too, like the Glenfinnan monument of Bonnie Prince Charlie and Arduaine Gardens near Oban.

Cromlix
It makes sense that Cromlix House, owned by US Open, Olympic and Wimbledon champion Andy Murray, would have a wide range of sports and activities on site. There is fittingly enough a tennis court in Wimbledon colours, and plenty of on-site activities available too such as garden games, fishing, archery, snooker and board games. For older children (and kids at heart), quad biking and 4X4 off-road driving can be arranged, as well as a mini Highland games, for the ultimate friendly competition.

Gleneagles
Considered by guests as a playground for all ages on 850 acres of countryside, family breaks at Gleneagles are dynamic and guaranteed to be fun for all. There are dedicated family experiences including pitch ‘n’ putt competitions, Segway tours and a safari with an off-road driving instructor to take you out into Perthshire to discover the stunning scenery and wildlife. Unique activities include falconry, ferret racing, off-road driving, shooting, football, horse riding at the Gleneagles Equestrian School and so much more, for all age groups. Facilities include Little Glen, the fully supervised crèche, The Den, which is an unsupervised games room and play area for older kids, and also family accommodation with room for everyone.
