The Tourism team of Scottish Enterprise works to help Scotland's tourism industry compete internationally through the development of effective strategies, the delivery of Scotland-wide programmes and support for national industry organisations.

This is achieved through a number of activities, including:

• Developing the Scottish Enterprise Strategy and Action Plan for Tourism.
  
  
• Supporting skills development programmes such as Welcome Host, Scotland's Best, Tourism Business Success and Natural Cook.
  
  
• Supporting national industry groupings such as Connoisseurs Scotland, the Association of Scottish Visitor Attractions, the Scottish Tour Guides Association and the Scottish branch of the British Hospitality Association.
