Claire Macdonald is a best-selling cookery writer renowned for her practical, realistic recipes. Claire's success is due in part to her a remarkable willingness to share the secrets of her kitchen and she is celebrated for her wonderful sense of fun.

    

Claire hosts three-day residential cookery courses within her home at Kinloch on the Isle of Skye.

Her tuition style, incorporating a wealth of entertaining anecdotes and time-saving tips, is relaxed, informal and very informative.


Tuition sessions are structured to provide guests with plenty of time to relax in Kinloch's magical setting or explore the wildly romantic beauty of the island.

A sample of dishes included in Claire Macdonald's Kinloch Cookery Courses include:

  • Stir fried beetroot with orange and shallots and grilled goats cheese
  • Roast Ham with crackling, and Shallot, rhubarb and ginger sauce
  • Venison with Dried Apricots and Pickled Walnuts
  • Slightly Smoked Salmon  and Pink Peppercorn Mousse/Pate
  • Roast Hazelnut, vanilla and Dark Chocolate Tart
  • Pear Souffles with Ginger Creme Fraiche
