HEBRIDEAN OUTPOSTS

Cherish peace and tranquillity on this cruise to the outermost Hebrides, taking in stunningly remote isles, mainland locations and attractions - far from the madding crowd!

From Oban to Oban
Mainland Scotland; Shieldaig, Gairloch and Ullapool.
Inner Hebrides; Skye, Summer Isles.
Outer Hebrides; Shiant Isles, Lewis, St Kilda, Barra.

THE NORTHERN ISLES
Invergordon, Kirkwall - Orkney, Fair Isle, Yell and Mainland - Shetland, Orkney - Sanday and Stronsay, Invergordon.

Located on the outer fringe of Europe, known by the Norsemen as the 'Nordereys', the northern isles of Orkney and Shetland are quite distinct in identity despite the mere 60 miles that separate them. Colonised by Picts, then ruled by the Vikings until 1468 when they passed to Scotland, they are also far-removed from mainland culture. Experience their uniqueness - natural beauty, bird life, prehistoric sites, traditional crafts and slower pace - on a voyage to a corner of Scandinavia within our own British Isles.
