Golf

Myres Castle is within one hour's drive of 100 golf courses such as The Old Course, Gleneagles and Ladybank and within 90 minutes of most of the Scottish golf courses by helicopter. Our team at Myres are more that happy to arrange full Helicopter transfers 4 seat Gazelle Helicopter and 6 seat helicopters can be arranged; prices on request

Transfers from the following airports, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen and Inverness.

We can also arrange the ultimate transfer to and from many of the main Golf Course in Scotland, including Carnoustie, Troon, Turnberry, Muirfield, Gleneagles and Royal Dornoch We can arrange tee times for you on most courses.

Leisure Activities

During your stay we can arrange a number of activities for the energetic and more leisurely pursuits to pamper and restore both in and around the Castle.

To Pamper You: Jackie and Julie come especially to the Castle to pamper and restore
Facials; manicure; Pedicure; waxing and Massage (Aromatherapy, Reiki and Swedish) are available within the castle. Hairdressing for ladies and gents can be arranged as well as wet shaves for gentlemen.

Leisure Facilities available within the Castle include:

Tennis, Badminton, Billiards, Table tennis, Volleyball and Croquet

Sight Seeing / Attractions

Some activities can be organised within the Castle grounds and tailored to your particular needs. These include:
- Fly Fishing Tuition
- Falconry Displays
- Clay Pigeon Shooting
- Archery Tuition
- Off Road Driving Using Land Rover, JCB's and Quad Bikes Or even your own vehicle

Some of the Local Leisure facilities include:
- River and Loch Fishing
- Trout fishing is available at Golden Loch.
- There is also prime salmon fishing, in season, at various beats on the River Tay

Shooting
- Driven pheasant and mixed walk up days can be organised in season

Real Tennis
- On one of the original real tennis courts at Falkland Palace &#8211; four miles from the castle.

Polo
- During the summer months every Wednesday evening and Sunday afternoon at nearby Perth.

Go Karting
- Private hire of indoor track in Perth

Motor Racing at Knockhill Circuit
- A round of the World Touring Car Championship is held here
- Racing tuition is available either in single seater or saloon cars.
- Go Karts, quad bikes and Argo cats are also available.

Local Attractions

Falkland Palace
One of the most romantic spots in Scotland, Falkland Palace was the favourite country retreat of the Stuart Dynasty. Here, kings and queens came to relax in a world far removed from the stresses and strains of political life. Mary, Queen of Scots spent many happy years here as a child, enjoying the extensive grounds and gentle scenery of the Royal Kingdom of Fife.

Aberdour Castle
14th century castle built by the Douglas family. The gallery on the 1st floor gives an idea of how it was furnished at the time. The castle has a delightful walled garden and dovecot.

Kircaldy Museum & Art Gallery
Set in lovely garden grounds, Kirkcaldy Museum & Art Gallery features a superb collection of 19th - 21st Century Scottish paintings.

Balmerino Abbey
Ruins of a Cistercian Monastery, founded in 1229. The grounds contain an ancient Spanish chestnut tree - one of the oldest in the country.

Fife Folk Museum
The Fife Folk Museum invites you to discover the history of everyday rural life in this area. Located in the small historic burgh of Ceres, this collection has been built up over more than thirty years.

The British Golf Museum
The British Golf Museum traces the history of golf, in both Britain and abroad, from the middle ages through to the present day.

Scottish Deer Centre
Free roaming in 55 acres of beautiful countryside are 140 head of deer covering eight species.

Cluny Clays
International clay pigeon shooting and archery centre offering the opportunity to watch or try all disciplines of both these sports.

Scottish Fisheries Museum
This national museum tells the story of the fishing industry from the earliest times to the present date.

Deep Sea World
Come face to face with Europe's largest collection of Sand Tiger Sharks.

St. Andrews Castle
See the fascinating mine and counter-mine-rare examples of medieval siege techniques.

Fife Flying Club
Fife Airport comprises Fife Flying Club and the Tipsy Nipper Restaurant and bar.

Trinity Church
Picturesque 200 year old village church in village setting retaining many original features.

Award-winning chef Christopher Trotter brings his passion for Scottish food and organic, home produce to the castle's guests, and has also created a cookery and demonstration facility at the castle.

Transport

Various forms of transport can be arranged ranging from taxi,hire car, chauffeur driven cars, helicopter or private jet.

Edinburgh airport is 45 minutes drive from Myres and Waverly station about 50 minutes.

A variety of music, drama and other entertainments are always available in the local town of St Andrews and only 45 minutes away is Scotland's capital, Edinburgh.

The Muchty Room is fully equipped with all the business and conference equipment you may require, including a conference telephone, modem, television and audio points and a discreetly hidden screen and points for slide, overhead and computer generated presentations. Flip charts, white boards, fax and laptops/email connections, photocopying etc. are also available.

Reservations & Cancellations

The Basic Price includes accommodation, Full Scottish Breakfast, Light Luncheon, Dinner in the Castle and Soft beverages (as provided by the Company). All other services (including but not limited to, the provision of alcoholic beverages, marquees and equipment, telephone and fax charges as well as charges incurred by the Company on behalf of the Client for outside services; ["Incidentals"]) are exclusive of the Basic Price. The period of accommodation (and thus the provision of all meals) shall commence at 3.00pm on the date of arrival and 24 hour delegate which shall commence at 7.00am) and shall end at mid-day on the day of departure.

Cancellation.
The Client acknowledges that Myres Castle is let on an exclusive use basis and that it is difficult for the Company to mitigate any loss by re-letting in the event of a cancellation. Accordingly in the event that the client chooses not to occupy Myres Castle the Client shall pay the following amounts to the Company. It is advised that Cancellation Insurance is taken out by The Client.
