Cringletie House
Introduction
“I have fallen in love with this beautiful house and surroundings.
I shall never forget my time here.” |
| JB FROM PEEBLES |
Nestled in a 28 acres of woodland and gardens on the sloping hills of the Scottish Borders near Edinburgh, Cringletie House is a luxurious, and comfortable small country house hotel and restaurant.
This romantic castle style baronial mansion is set in the tranquil and rural countryside where sheep outnumber humans! The House dates back to 1861 and Cringletie’s Walled Garden goes back as far as 1661, when the first Cringletie House was built.

Less than 18 miles from Edinburgh and surrounded by some of Scotland’s favourite walks and historic sites, Cringletie is ideal for a romantic weekend break or a leisurely midweek short stay.

Rosslyn Chapel only some 10 miles away, is famed world wide for the beauty of its carvings and for the aura of mystery and magic that surrounds it.
More recently, Rosslyn Chapel became extremely popular for anybody interested in following the Holy Grail and The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown. |
We also have special facilities for disabled persons. We welcome well behaved dogs, and have two rooms where dogs can be accommodated.
