“Gallery Round-Up”

SUMMER SHOW AT THE SEA LOCK GALLERY

In conjunction with the Crinan Classic Boat Festival, distinguished local artist Frances MacDonald has curated a lively exhibition in her new gallery in this picturesque corner of Argyll. MacDonald, who regularly exhibits at the Portland Gallery in London and the Open Eye Gallery in Edinburgh, has called upon numerous high-profile contacts both nationally and locally for the show, which has the sea as its theme.

Alongside paintings by MacDonald and her son, Ross Ryan, will be work by well-known names such as Gordon Mitchell (who has hung all the work), Jock MacInnes, Simon Laurie, Jolomo, Sian McQueen (one of the finalists in the inaugural Jolomo Awards earlier this year) and Gillian Goodheir.

Graham, Johnston, father of the recently released BBC Gaza correspondent Alan, lives in nearby Lochgoilhead and is a master model-boat maker: examples of his exquisite work will also be on show.
