Dining at Crinan - The Westward

Crinan Hotel's restaurant, the
Westward, is on the ground floor and looks out over
Loch Crinan.
Here visitors can indulge in the delights
of a real Scottish breakfast or a gourmet dinner including
some of the dishes made famous by our Lock 16 restaurant. |
The Westward restaurant has wonderful views towards
the islands . Our chefs use the best of local organic
produce including beef and lamb from nearby farms,
venison from Jura and halibut and turbot from the
islands.
For breakfast guests can choose from
famous grilled Loch Fyne kippers, freshly smoked haddock, local bacons and sausage
and fresh baking are all on the menu ... as well as selection of fruit, cereals
and those lighter choices to start the day!
Our bar lunches and dinners are à
la carte. Voted No 1 Gastro Pub in Scotland by the
Independent our pub lunches are also highly commended
in Diana Henry's Gastro Pub cook book.
Lock 16 - Private Dining

'Lock 16' is famous for its seafood menus and spectacular views out over the Loch. Although no longer used as our regular restaurant, Lock 16 is still available by arrangement for corporate bookings and private
dining.

Lock 16 is located on our roof level diners
can watch the sun set over the Corryvreckan as they
enjoy jumbo prawns clams, lobster or whatever is
available from 'catch of the day' - all landed by
the fishing boats, just yards from the hotel.

From
Crinan, the local fishing fleet sails west towards the plentiful fishing grounds
on the Atlantic side of Jura.
On their return the catch, usually clams, prawns,
lobster and fresh white fish, is unloaded literally yards from the hotel.
The availability and choice of dishes dependent on
the the weather and the fishermen's catch. |

The Panther's Arms, the Mainbrace & the Crinan Coffee Shop

Crinan Hotel's Mainbrace Bar and the
Panther's Arms are located on the ground floor of the hotel - the ideal place
to find that longed-for cup of tea, coffee or refreshing drink following a day
out in Argyll. Our chef has been busy preparing a new menu for
the Mainbrace. On our many beautiful sunny days guests
tend to sit on the patio of the Mainbrace and enjoy
the hustle and bustle of life at the sealock of Crinan
Canal.

Enjoying a large bowl of mussels and a tipple
from the bar is a favourite way for travellers and
yachtsmen to end their day. The Mainbrace menu is
available at lunch-time and also in the evenings.If you are keen to meet the locals and fishermen why not join
them in the Panther's Arms, our public bar, stocked with a good selection of Scottish
beers, whiskies and spirits. |

On the edge of the canal basin is a favourite
haunt of many day visitors to Crinan - our Coffee
Shop.
Run as part of the hotel it offers a great range of fresh home
