Castleton House Hotel is an EatScotland Gold property and has consistently been listed as one of Scotland’s elite restaurants and dining experiences. The restaurant’s kitchen enjoys using the seasonal stocks of fruit and vegetables from Castleton’s small holding which also includes chickens, quail and rare breed Tamworth pigs which feature to much popular acclaim on the restaurant menu during the course of the year.

Castleton is particularly proud to serve home reared Tamworth pork, raised on our own ground and fed on windfall apples from the orchard and home grown vegetables all washed down with Strathmore spring water that naturally fills their water trough - what luxury.

Guests are most welcome to wander about the kitchen garden and sample the fruits from apples and cherries to strawberries and raspberries. During the summer, free range eggs can be bought from the hotel as can bunches of snowdrops, daffodils and sweet peas when in season.
