Business facilities: There is a huge selection of meeting
rooms and conference theatres and private function rooms which
can cater for 8-360 guests. Gleneagles has a specialised team
of technicians who can advise on using the latest technology,
including AMX touch-screen control systems, plasma screens and
LCD projectors for a conference set-up. Positioning itself as
a leading conference hotel, £9 million was recently invested
in a new development, that adds an extra 59 bedrooms and four
meeting rooms to the hotel.
Team
bonding/relaxation: There is a wide range of traditional and
modern country pursuits with qualified professional instructors
on hand for team building and relaxing. Activities include equestrian,
off road driving, golf, spa, fishing and shooting as well as fun
clay target shooting and 'hands on' falconry. The hotel also has
a superb spa.
Dining: Private function rooms are all adaptable for many purposes
from exhibitions and conferences to grand dinner dances and corporate
entertaining occasions. There is a range of sample menus suitable
for private dining and corporate events.
Transport: Great North Eastern Railway services stop at Gleneagles Station,
which is on the main London to Inverness line. All trains are
met by hotel transport. Edinburgh and Glasgow airports are both
less than 50 miles, or an hour's drive away.
Case
Study: The ultimate case study of a successful event held
at Gleneagles is the G8 Summit from 6 - 8 July 2005.
The venue was hand picked by the Prime Minister, Tony Blair, as
his venue of choice to host the leaders of the world's most powerful
countries. The event was a huge success and the feedback from
all the leaders, the media and security services was amazingly
positive.
Gleneagles
is highly recognised in the conference world as a leader in its
field: Conference & Incentive Travel Magazine voted Gleneagles
UK Incentive Hotel 2005, Sunday Times Travel Magazine named Gleneagles
Best UK Hotel 2004 and Meetings & Incentive Travel Magazine
has awarded Gleneagles Best UK Hotel (Meetings Category) and (Incentive
