The Food
| “For food we gave a perfect ten”. |
| Connoisseur's Guide to Golf, January 2000 -' Scotland On A Plate' |
The hotel is one of only three in Scotland with 4 AA Red Rosettes for its food. It was also "Which? Hotelguide" Scottish Country House
Hotel of the year.
As well as Boath House's own extensive range of home grown herbs,
vegetables and soft fruits from the kitchen garden, the Chefs are very well served
by a number of very high quality seafood, meat and cheese suppliers. For example,
seafood is caught and delivered daily by Moray Firth fishermen and connoisseur
cheeses are secured from a renowned organic dairy. These provide the fare freshly
prepared from a selection of traditional Scottish recipes, which, combined with
vegetarian and Continental influences, result in a style which was termed 'Franco
Scottish' in Taste of Scotland, 2000.
Everything is prepared on the premises from the canapés and bread to the
petit fours. Wine lists are carefully selected and regularly reviewed to ensure
that Chef's dishes are perfectly complemented.
