Breakfast we drove north past Fort Augustus and on to Inverness, Capital of the
Highlands. A visit to Fort George and Culloden with its battlefield museum brought
home to us the turbulent history of this beautiful country. On
the journey back to Inverlochy Castle we scanned the surface of Loch Ness for
turbulence of a different kind.

The Kessock Bridge, Invernesshire
The
mysterious atmosphere so prevalent here can only add to the rumours about the
monster in the depths. We
were glad to be safely back at the castle and enjoying another sumptuous dinner
in such elegant surroundings. more »
